The CYTYC Corp. Thin Prep 2000 Processor is an automated slide preparation device that creates thin-layer slides that are amazingly consistent and devoid of obscuring artifacts like blood, mucus, and inflammation, increasing specimen quality and clarity. It engages a computerized process and proprietary membrane technology to control the dispersion, collection, and transfer of diagnostic cells from the sample to the slide. This ensures that the slide is representative of the original sample collected in the ThinPrep Pap Test vial and reproducible.
